今回の展覧会は以前の「自分と他者」から離れて「都市と子供」を描いています。
それは自分が何者なのか？の視点ではなく、自分は彼ら(子供)を何者にしようとしているのか？という視点に変わったのだと思います。
合理的に世界を作っていく大人vs本能優勢の子供の図を、都市と雑草子供という展開にしました。
タイトルの「Wondering」は不思議に思うという意味で、子供たちの「Wondering」の近くにいれた時間は沢山の学びがありました。
今展覧会の大作も同タイトルで、都市の上の子供たちは特別何もしていません。
子供の写真アルバムの中から敢えて何もしていない子供たちの姿をピックアップしてモデルとしました。
その姿からどんな印象を与えることになるのか分かりませんが、見る方々にも不思議だなと思ってもらえれば嬉しいです。

This exhibition depicts ‘city and children’ away from the previous ‘myself and others’.
It's not about the perspective of ‘who you are’, but of whom you're trying to make the children to. I developed my work of ‘cities and weeds children' to ‘adults who rationally create the world’ vs. ‘children who are instinctively dominant’.
The title ‘wondering’ means strange or curious, and I learned a lot through the time I spent near my children's 'wondering'.
The big work at this exhibition is titled the same, ‘children above the city' who don't do anything special. I picked up images of children who didn't dare to do anything from their photo album and modeled them.
I don't know what kind of impression it will give, but I hope the audience will find it curious.
